Daniel Shipman, Owner/Head Trainer

Dan earned his degree in Exercise Science from Barry University. During this time he interned at IMG Academy and worked with high school baseball, tennis, and golf players. He also became a certified Strength and Conditioning Coach from the National Strength and Conditioning Association. After graduation he interned at the Performance Compound. Here he worked hard to show initiative, which led to an offered position as a Performance Coach. Throughout the next few months he continued to progress with the company, and showed superb organization and office management skills. Because of this, Dan was then promoted to Facility Director.

After working there for a few years, he started a family and wanted to be around more for his kids. He worked at a few smaller gyms until he opened Full Torque Fitness. Now he leads Full Torque Fitness and its team into the future of fitness for golfers of all ages.

Emily Daniels, Personal Trainer

This Texas native became involved in rehabilitation and exercise science while interning at Ironman sports medicine in The Woodlands, Texas. She continued her education at the University of Tampa where she earned a degree in Allied Health-Physical Therapy with minors in Psychology and Spanish. Throughout college she worked in Campus Recreation, volunteered in the brain and spinal cord injury unit of TGH, and was a member of the club soccer team. Her love for athletics lead her to Full Torque Fitness upon graduation in May of 2018. Emily is always continuing her education and most recently attended the American College of Sports Medicine meeting as a presenter of research.

Amber Petersen, Personal Trainer

Amber played D1 golf at Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, FL while earning her bachelor of science degree (2006-2010). Since college, she played in mini tour events and went to Q school twice, without much success. Since high school she has mostly worked at golf courses and was an Assistant Golf Professional for 5 years. She first began personal training in 2015, while still working as a golf professional and over the past years have made it my dedicated career and strive to help others reach their goals through fitness. She carry certifications as a personal trainer with ACSM and is a TPI certified professional in both golf and fitness, and am also a Class B LPGA teaching professional. Besides training golfers she utilizes her teaching credentials in after school junior golf programs.

Dr. Brian Broussard, Owner Impact Sports Performance & Rehab, Physical Therapist

Brian has always had a passion for the human body and how it moved, how it performed, and how it recovered. This passion led him to study human movement at Louisiana State University and then at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, where he would earn his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. His experiences thus far consist of working with numerous triathletes, runners, youth baseball players, golfers, and CrossFit athletes. These are just to name a few.

 

He now specializes in golf rehabilitation and performance as a Titleist Performance Institute Medical 2 Certified Provider. Additionally, working with youth baseball players has developed as a passion of his. My experience as a baseball player has taught him many things, with one of those being the importance of rotational stability and power; not just in baseball but in sports like golf, tennis, and even running! Regardless of age, he strives to get his athletes to optimize their movements so that they can enhance their performance and health on and off the course.
